It is designed to connect a high performance NVMe SSD to an onboard SFF-8643 Mini-SAS HD port or to a M.2 to U.2 Add-On card; a perfect solution when a PCIe slot is unavailable. Integrated SATA power connects U.2 PCIe 4.0 (3.0 backward compatible), 4-Lane connection to the computer power supply to power the NVMe SSD with 3.3V 12V.
